We’d like to recognize our Lemoine Wellness Champion of the Month for January- Chris Ardoin!
For those of you who don’t know, Chris began working with us in February of 2018 as an IT Support/Data Analyst in the Lafayette office.
At one point in Chris’ life, he weighed 230 pounds. In 2013 he decided to make some serious changes in his life to lose weight and get in shape. Chris began his journey by working out at Anytime Fitness, while also sticking to a very strict diet for about two years. After two years, Chris started Brazilian Jiujitsu as a new way of staying in shape.
Chris is motivated everyday by seeing how far he has come and is determined to stay in shape. The advice Chris has to offer about living a healthy lifestyle is “Do some type of exercise three-five times a week. When it comes to your diet, you can have cheat days occasionally where you can eat whatever you want. Just don’t make a habit of it.”
If you are considering starting a weight loss program it is important to understand the benefits of losing weight. Motivate yourself by considering all the different ways that losing weight may improve your social life, and your medical/psychological health. You don’t have to lose hundreds of pounds to enjoy the medical benefits of weight loss. You may be able to lose just a small amount of weight to improve your overall health.
