April Wellness Champion – Evan Courtney

We’d like to recognize our Lemoine Wellness Champion of the Month for April – Evan Courtney!

For those of you who don’t know, Evan started in July of 2019 and is our ERP Manager/Business Analyst. He was hired by Lemoine to help with the transition to our company software, Viewpoint.

To stay healthy, Evan has a consistent gym schedule. He works out at the office gym during the work week but if he can’t make it, he makes time for a home workout or walk outside. “Being active is an important part of staying healthy”, he says. Evan also makes it a priority during the day to drink A LOT of water. He aims for the recommended amount of around 16 cups per day.

He began his journey mid-pandemic (June 2020). Lemoine’s office gym in our Baton Rouge location had just opened. Evan shares that the office gym was a crucial part to keeping his routine consistent. Once he made a habit of going to the gym, he looked to his diet to continue making improvements. Afterwards, he started focusing on sleep. “The more you make the right decisions the easier it is to continue that pattern”.

Evan stays motivated by his progress. “Seeing the progress motivates me to continue to improve on my health. The positive impact on my physical health has motivated my mental health too. Your body impacts your mind and the better you take care of the physical aspects, the better off your mental health will be”.

Evan’s advice about living a healthy lifestyle is “In my opinion, the most important thing about living a healthy lifestyle is focusing on your diet. Being active is a good step, but without a good diet, all of that hard work goes to waste. Make slight changes over time and you will improve your diet in a more sustainable way”.

Awesome job, Evan! We are so proud of you! Keep striving to be a healthier version of yourself every day!
