LSU Tiger Stadium South End Zone Expansion
Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Client: Tiger Athletic Foundation
Project Size: 290,000 SF

Contracted by Tiger Athletic Foundation (TAF) and delivered under the CMAR approach, this $78 million, 290,000 SF project completed the expansion to the south end zone at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. TAF, a seasoned builder of major collegiate sports facilities, chose the Lemoine/Brasfield & Gorrie team based on their advanced preconstruction process that confirmed that the project would meet the tightly defined budget constraints and the critical opening schedule.

Making it the second largest in the Southeastern Conference and fifth largest in the nation, the project included the addition of an upper deck to the south end zone, renovations to the existing structure and an expansion of the stadium by more than 6,000 seats including a 3,000 seat stadium club, 70 skybox suites and 1,500 upper deck seats.

The Expansion Project is a true success story for cost control during preconstruction, as the Lemoine/Brasfield & Gorrie preconstruction team was successful at driving the project cost down over 11% between Conceptual Design and Construction Documents. However, more impressive, we were able to deliver an additional 20 luxury suites and 225 club seats beyond the original concept.
