Improvements to Harvey WWTP Harvey, Louisiana

Located in Harvey, Louisiana, this project included construction of a trickling filter and the renovation of the existing trickling filter pump station. Additional work included the connection to existing piping systems, electrical systems and instrumentation.

Scope encompassed construction of pre-stressed test pile program, 90′ long 14″ pre-stressed concrete piles, 36″ and 42″ buried pipe installation including shore systems and tie-ins with existing, asphalt removal and replacement, minor site work, seeding and CIP -107′ diameter trickling filter structure with elevated slab and 30′ tall walls. Additional scope included installation of structural steel stair access structure, installation of TF rotary distributer arm and media systems, erection of FRP access bridge and sub media support systems, replacement of existing vertical turbine pumps and discharge piping, and electrical and control systems.
