This project is a replacement prison for the prison that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The project located in Plaquemines Parish around Davant, LA (approximately 20 miles southeast of New Orleans), consists of the construction of a new 871 inmate adult corrections facility, approximately 207,000 square feet. The building will be built on a podium deck at elevation 19’ out of precast columns and double tees/flat slabs in order to protect the structure from flooding. Storm surge from Katrina brought nearly 28’ of water on to the site

The Lemoine Juneau Joint Venture, along with Ambling Development, was selected as the team to construct this complex and aggressively scheduled project consisting of multiple phases including extensive demolition, wood framed structures, hybrid precast concrete garage structure, and extensive renovations to completely upgrade the student housing facilities on campus. The project is geographically separated into two main areas on the ULL Campus which are distinguished by the bordering streets and are further defined as follows.
Taft/Tulane: The Taft/Tulane site is located at the corner of W Taft Street and Tulane Avenue on the campus of the University of Louisiana – Lafayette. The approximate address is 600 Tulane Avenue, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503. This site is currently home to two (2) seven (7) story residence halls, a central energy plant and a credit union building. All of these structures will be completely demolished. Coming back in their place will be two (2) new identical four (4) story residence halls and a six (6) level parking garage. The new parking garage will be a six (6) level 320,987 sq. ft. structural precast concrete structure supported by deep foundations. The current capacity of the garage is scheduled to be 900 cars. The first level of the garage will also house approximately 7,054 sq. ft. of business space.
Rose Garden: The Rose Garden site is located along the 400 block of E. University Avenue on the campus of the University of Louisiana – Lafayette. The approximate address is 400 E. University Avenue, Lafayette, Louisiana 70503. This site is currently home to four (4) two (2) story residence halls, three (3) three (3) story residence halls and a single story Alumni Hall building. Three (3) of the two (2) story structures and one (1) of the three (3) story structures will be completely demolished. Coming back in their place will be two (2) new, identical four (4) story residence halls.

Originally built in 1963, and last updated in 1983, Lafayette General Medical Center is undergoing a full renovation. Upon completion in the Fall of 2011, approximately 54 square feet will have been added to each room including larger bathrooms, showers, and a modernized patient care infrastructure.
The $70 million renovation will add 14,826 square feet to the building bringing the total renovation to 161,708 square feet. The completed product will house 387 beds, a new 12-bed Inpatient Rehab Unit, an updated 42-bed Long-Term Acute Care Unit. An updated Adult Emergency Department waiting and triage area and a new Pediatric Emergency Department with 6 treatment bays and a dedicated waiting area will aid in reducing wait time.

Located on Louisiana State University’s main campus in Baton Rouge the Business Education Complex project consists of a total of approximately 156,385 square feet divided into four new structural steel buildings supporting a skin of glazed aluminum curtain wall and precast concrete panels. The $38.4 million new complex will hold classroom space for undergraduate students, graduate students, a large public space with café and faculty dining, faculty offices and support spaces, an auditorium, and offices for administrative staff.

A 170,000 SF, five-story shell and core medical office building, a 7,300SF Central Plant, 240,000SF of concrete access roads, and 227,000SF of asphalt parking areas Our Lady of The Lake- Livingston will contain emergency room area, imaging, retail pharmacy, lab, and food vendor, second floor administrative offices, pharmacy and lab work areas, and a Community Center room. The Central Plant will house all of the integral parts of the mechanical and electrical systems – cooling towers, chillers, boilers, pumps, transformers, switchgear, and diesel & natural gas generators. The skin of the medical office building is a mixture of brick, cast stone, metal wall panels, and curtain wall. The skin of the Central Plant s metal wall panels. The Central Plant is nearly 1,000 feet away from the medical office building. It’s remote location is to accommodate future growth on the campus.
This will be the first facility with an Emergency Room in Livingston Parish. A helipad is included to accommodate helicopters for emergencies. There is a lake on the north side of the site where lighted sprinklers will be installed and a statue of Mary will greet visitors on the south side of the lake. Although the work area is roughly 25 acres, the entire property encompasses over 200 acres.

New Administration, Warehouse, Baler, Crane and Maintenance Buildings on a 23 acre site located in Port Allen, Louisiana. The Administration building is a steel structure with metal wall panels and standing seam roof. The Warehouse, Baler, Crane and Maintenance buildings are pre-engineered building structures. All buildings are supported by timber piles, pile caps and grade beams. Sitework includes 640 lnft of sheet pile bulkhead, dredging and a 52,300 sqft concrete dock / barge loading area. There are limestone areas for work and storage, 278,000 sqft heavy duty concrete paving and 85,000 sqft light duty concrete paving for employee and customer parking. Site utilities include storm drainage, water, sewer and compressed air.

The Lake Charles Charter Academy includes the construction of a new 2-story Classroom Building consisting of CIP Concrete Foundation (60,664 SF) with exterior Tilt-up Concrete Wall Panels, structural steel beams and columns, and a single ply membrane roof. In addition to typical classrooms for grades K through 8, the facility will house a full gymnasium, dining facilities, science labs, music/art rooms, and a library/multi-purpose area. The site, consisting of 7.4 Acres, will include improvements such as a student drop-off & pick-up concrete loop drive capable of holding 75 cars, a 45,000 SF parking lot, a playground area, and recreational field.

14,000 SF New office building on Acadian Ambulance’s North University campus; office building will house the departments of human resources, risk management, and public relations. Site package with road addition, metal building structure, and standard commercial finishes. Facility equipped with high efficiency Mitsubishi HVAC system unique to our industry. Also constructed new pavilion facility for the on campus personnel featuring new sidewalks, metal building structure, see through stone/cypress fireplace, men’s & women’s air conditioned restrooms, and multiple large fans.

Addition to the used car sales facility to house additional space for sales team. New lube express for the service department featuring four service bays, site package, metal building structure, basement equipped with top of the line equipment, high end commercial finishes, etc.
